The handmade pottery Lumberjack mug holds approximately 16oz of coffee, tea or beverage of your choice. Yes, you can actually feel the faux woodgrain texture as well as the carved in elements. Comfortable, roomy handle, manly-mug size, lead-free glaze, dishwasher and microwave safe. Handmade by Meredith in her Fern Street Pottery Studio. See my shop for more handmade originals! No two are exactly alike, but sets are very well matched. Made one at a time, by hand, in the woods.
****IMPORTANT***Rush orders are not available***. Custom orders ship in 4-6 weeks. Order Early, pottery is a slow process. *Why does it take so long?* This mug will not exist until you order it... at which point I will create it. The mug will then dry for at least a week, possibly two (pottery dries slowly in the northwest!) before I can fire it and fill the kiln. (one day to fire, plus one day to cool). Then I glaze- not just your mug but an entire kiln load of pottery- this takes a few days! Next I load the kiln and glaze fire to about 2200 degrees (one day to fire, plus about 36 hours for the kiln to cool). When the kiln has cooled, I sand the bottom and ship your mug! Whew!!

Perfect custom order. Meredith is crazy talented. Love all her work but these mugs might be my favorite. Clever, beautifully made and comfortable to hold. Ordered these as a wedding gift.
