White speckled glaze or turquoise glaze, over a red-brown stoneware clay. The brown clay shows through the glaze in subtle areas, emphasizing the hand carved patterns, in the rim of the bowl. Each bowl is thrown on the pottery wheel, trimmed, and then hand carved.

The carved rim beautifully frames the bowl, while allowing a natural, comfortable way to hold the bowl. No two are exactly alike, but they are well matched and stack for a nice set that stores well and looks great on the table. Approximately 7" in diameter at outer rim.

Thrown in stoneware and fired above 2100 degrees, this serving bowl is dishwasher and microwave safe, and you can also reheat in the oven.
