The text and images are actually inset or carved into the mug, so you can feel the texture, they are not merely painted on the surface. The cup is a lovely white clay with a beautiful turquoise green glaze on the inside.
These mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe, with a lead-free glaze. They hold approximately 14oz / (about 1.5 cups). Thrown on the Potter's Wheel by Meredith at Fern Street Pottery. Each one is handmade so no two are exactly alike but they will be well matched (That's the beauty of hand made pottery!)

Very cute! Weight of the mug is substantial and sits in my hands like it found home. The inside teal color was bright and shiny, the handle is sturdy. It's going to be a well-loved item in this pug house.
this is my FAVORITE mug. it's just the right size, has a great, very sturdy handle and is freakin' adorbs. i love the added detail of the unglazed base. i feed the local ravens from my roof in sf, and even though this technically depicts a crow {straight, sharp beak}, it is close enough to my neighborhood corvids to make me happy.
I cannot overstate my satisfaction. What you don't get through the photos is the perfect heft and solid feel of the mug in your hand. Highly recommend.
